Quick 30 Minute Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Quick 30 minute cheddar broccoli soupBroccoli Cheddar soup is new to my kitchen, but it looked so good this morning, I’ve been thinking about it all day. I started this quick 30 minute broccoli cheddar soup about 2:50 in the afternoon, not knowing how long it would take to make from start to finish. I got the inspiration to make this soup from a fellow group member (Julie K.M.F.) in my Appalachian Cooks group. The problem that I have is, I can’t seem to follow a recipe! I have the hardest time.

So, instead of a recipe for broccoli cheddar soup I am going to make a “how-to” post about how I made this quick 30 minute soup.

I’m not quite sure why I can’t follow a recipe but I do know that today, I didn’t follow the recipe exactly because I was short a few ingredients. First things first. Let’s discuss the type of electric 18 quart roaster we are using. Ours is a Hamilton Beach with the buffet pans like this one:Read More »Cost to Run Electric 18 Quart Roaster

Goulash Recipes

On Facebook, I have a group called Appalachian cooks and I recently asked what people considered goulash after someone had posted a picture of “American Goulash”. The picture was macaroni noodles in a tomato sauce with corn added in.

This is a picture of the recipe I chose to make which is a Hungarian version of goulash. I was really surprised at how many people who were willing to share there goulash recipes with me. You’ll see it below.Read More »Goulash Recipes
